One of Adobe Lightroom’s most powerful features is presets. Presets are one-button corrections to images that offer you time-saving, powerful post-processing applications without requiring you to know much about the mechanics in the background. In this post you will find some of the best Adobe Lightroom presets, and most important these presets are all available Free for downloading.
Free Lightroom Preset – AutoTonePop
The photo below is the BEFORE/AFTER picture with Lightroom Preset – AutoTonePop applied.
Free Preset: 70’s Faded
Time for a new free preset, mixing both a recent topic and my favourite panel. So here we have 70’s Fade, a preset giving a fade mixed with a mild cross process.
HDMetal Lightroom preset
Sometimes the result looks like HDR photography, sometimes it’s a very “metallic” result. It was inspired by the style created by the famous Dave Hill.
Presets – The Vintage Look
the vintage look and will work fine in Lightroom 2 and Lightroom 3 Beta.
Lightroom Preset – Ekta Chromeo
This preset will most assuredly require some tweaking as it plays with the primaries rather heavily.
Free Lightroom Preset Sample Pack
These presets were designed to show you the creative possibilities that Lightroom can give you. It’s a serious powerhouse for photo editing!
Free Lightroom Preset. Gavin’s Old Polaroid
It’s a classic Polaroid themed tone that I think you’ll find appealing. This is a test of effects that will probably show up soon in an update to Color Fantasies presets collection. You get it today however and it’s free to boot.
free Holga Lightroom presets
You’ve probably already heard about what Holga is but if you haven’t, I’ll give you a quick brief.
Holga is the name of a Chinese camera that has a history from 1981. It’s a medium format 120 film toy camera known for its low-fidelity aesthetic. Nowadays you can find apps for your mobile phone that tries to copy the same look. It’s been so popular in the last few years that people even buy old toy cameras like this one, just to get the natural old look on film.
Lightroom Preset – Polaroid 669
The first preset titled: x=polaroid+yellow, brings in the yellow color cast we always cherished along with the heavily blown out highlights that 669 just loved to give us – willing or not.
Lightroom Presets – Wedding Fantasy Style
You’ll see this style a lot in wedding and engagement photos but it works for just about any outdoor photo with lots of colors. Its got that ultra saturated bright look with lots of vignetting to it.
Lightroom Presets – Sin City Look
The main idea behind the Sin City look is pretty much a desaturated high contrast photo with some red saturation left in. The preset is mostly a desaturating effect. But it also leaves certain colors saturated (reds and oranges). The idea behind this is that you’ve got to have something in your photo that has those colors in it.

Presets – The Ultimate Fighter Lightroom Preset
There’s 3 versions and while they seem to work best on dark dramatic photos, they work on brighter photos as well.
Lightroom Presets – Wedding Day
Once you apply it, you can tweak the look by changing your Tint and Temperature sliders (move Tint to the right for more red). And of course the overall Exposure will change the look too.
